This is the
flat plan that I based the creation of my final billboard upon. I liked this idea because the main image is a
long action shot, which represents the target audience. I also like the positioning
of the banner along the bottom, with the information and the picture of my
print product. I think this idea works because it includes all the relevant conventions
you would expect to see on a billboard and they are well positioned.
I didn’t use
this plan because it doesn’t have a good action image for the background of the
billboard. I also dislike how large the information text is. This goes against
conventions and I didn’t want to break them, I also didn’t like the design.
Similarly
to the previous flat plan, I didn’t use this one because of how big the
advertising text was. Also the idea for the image let the plan down as it doesn’t
cover the whole billboard and isn’t an action shot.
